WASHINGTON — The Obama administration took the unusual step Friday of asking the Supreme Court to stop Texas from executing a Mexican citizen convicted of raping and killing a 16-year-old girl.
The administration said the court should delay the planned July 7 execution of Humberto Leal for up to six months to give Congress time to consider legislation that would directly affect Leal's case.

Police discovered Sauceda's nude body on a dirt road in San Antonio in May 1994. Evidence showed she had been raped, bitten and strangled. A large stick that had a screw protruding from it was left in her body.
Among other evidence, the bite mark was matched to Leal. Her bloody blouse was found at Leal's home. She and Leal had been attending a party not far from where she was found.

I don't think anyone expects Obama to be anything but quivering to a foreign government and foreign laws that would have this thug go free.

Articles of impeachment, infortunately, cannot be registered for gross incompetence, but only for crimes against the state. If incompetence was in impeachable offense, it would make sense to initiate proceedings against Obama. However, given that he has only 18 months of office (three of which will be "lame duck" months), it is not worth the effort.

I am always shocked in disbelief that liberals, who profess to be Americans, support Obama and his agenda. Clearly this man and his agenda has proven to be a dismal failure for the majority of Americans and has delivered wholesale misery to the balance of the nation. However, given that he is a liberal (and black), most liberals are perferctly wiling to sacrifice the economic well being of the United States in favor of maintaining a flawed and incompetent politician's political career. In short, the average liberal does not give a damn about his fellow citizen, but is more concerned about the political career of one man- Obama. It harkens to the measures taken by the party loyal and the SS, even as Berlin was burning, to maintain fidelity to the Fuhrer.

Have liberals literally lost thier minds and are really no longer concerned with the prosperity and well being of their fellow man in exchange for maintenance of a philosophy they have been conditioned to be "correct"? It really begs the question as to whether the average liberal has sacrificed common sense and reason to party loyalty. A rational man would abandon a failed policy and pursue measures to secure the future of his family, while a blind loyalist would abandon reason in pursuit of party fidelity.

Liberals and marxists, wake up- this was your man and your philosophy and it has resulted in ruin. Only a fool would embrace the perpetuation of this failed philosophy and the captain of a sinking ship. Fools will, of course, vote for Obama again in 2012, but the balance of the population who actually cares about their future will not.

Why the need for the bigoted remarks? Oh I know, because there is absolutely nothing you can say to justify Obama's actions.

Why is the religion of those involved material?

What makes you think those involved were Christians?

Mindless and inane generalizations and bigotry- I would expect nothing less of a "liberal" (which means the new fascists). Remember when we used to actually deride the fascists and Brown Shirts for their suppression of civil rights, free speech, and human rights"? Now the left celebrates the very same fascist policies, but has repackaged the same oppressive, totalitarian sentiments to an uneducated (liberals presume themselves to be educated, when actually the converse is true) and impressionable populace. The leftists have beguiled those who have presumed academic and intellectual superiority that their pursuit and submission of the "unenlightened", is warranted and "necessary" to enact the "natural law" upon an unenlightened and ignorant population. Actually, the converse it true - even those with modest intellect recognize the inherent truths and veracity that free men can and must make thier own decisions in life. They reject the presumed "right" of the elite to mandate and guide the course of their lives and free will. This is a a perfect illustration of the wisdom and common sense of the "common man" superceding the presumed superiority of the elite liberal.

Remember when criminals were actually tried, prosecuted, and executed for capital offenses? Oh yes, I forgot- that was before the insanity of liberalism and political correctness gripped the weak minds of an impressionable and gullible cohort of those with questionable morality and marginal courage. In short, the corrupt, gullible , and impressionable minds of the weak provide fertile ground for the false, yet seductive, appealing premises of liberalism. It is fun to get together, raise hell, and to kick the ass of "the man". When that drunken stupor and euphoria of the moment wears off the next day, the realization of guilt and repetenent sentiments gain the upper hand, even a liberal is left to question "what the hell was I thinking?". Even in the distorted mind of the liberal there is that deep, culturally ingrained componant of morality, which lead to a sense of introspection and guilt after embracing an unethical and immoral set of "beliefs".

Wake up- the rest of the population has recognized the insanity of liberalism and the message has turned sour. Sane beings have recognized the historical failures of this philosophy throughout the 20th century. Now, even liberals are beginning to recognize that they have been duped. There is no socialist utopia- only the cynical lies of totalitarianism which have culled the support of the uninitiated.

A lefty who does not blindly follow what the Democratic Party usually stands for. You do know people can make up their own minds and have opinions?

I am a lefty who is pro death penalty. Especially for scum who killed an innocent girl after raping her.

We have enough scum in this world so it would not hurt to just take him out back and shoot him. Cheap. Fast. Efficient. Eliminated.

Here .. Let me help you out since Liberals and Obama (The Constitutional Attorney) don't seem to be up on these things!

October 07, 2007 Texas argues that neither the international court nor Bush has any say in Medellin's case.

Medellin was born in Mexico, but spent much of his childhood in the United States. He was 18 in June 1993, when he and other members of the Black and Whites gang in Houston encountered two teenage girls on a railroad trestle.

The girls were gang-raped and strangled. Their bodies were found four days later. Medellin was arrested a few days later. He was told he had a right to remain silent and have a lawyer present, but the police did not tell him that he could request assistance from the Mexican consulate.
SCOTUS ruled against Bush.

You must admit these states also have the highest welfare, more illegal immigrants and the secular states are on the verge of bankrupt.

You act like Christians are only on the right side. When someone claims the left are not Christians, their called a lair.
