Remember when we used to actually deride the fascists and Brown Shirts for their suppression of civil rights, free speech, and human rights"? Now the left celebrates the very same fascist policies, but has repackaged the same oppressive, totalitarian sentiments to an uneducated (liberals presume themselves to be educated, when actually the converse is true) and impressionable populace. The leftists have beguiled those who have presumed academic and intellectual superiority that their pursuit and submission of the "unenlightened", is warranted and "necessary" to enact the "natural law" upon an unenlightened and ignorant population. Actually, the converse it true - even those with modest intellect recognize the inherent truths and veracity that free men can and must make thier own decisions in life. They reject the presumed "right" of the elite to mandate and guide the course of their lives and free will. This is a a perfect illustration of the wisdom and common sense of the "common man" superceding the presumed superiority of the elite liberal.

Remember when criminals were actually tried, prosecuted, and executed for capital offenses? Oh yes, I forgot- that was before the insanity of liberalism and political correctness gripped the weak minds of an impressionable and gullible cohort of those with questionable morality and marginal courage. In short, the corrupt, gullible , and impressionable minds of the weak provide fertile ground for the false, yet seductive, appealing premises of liberalism. It is fun to get together, raise hell, and to kick the ass of "the man". When that drunken stupor and euphoria of the moment wears off the next day, the realization of guilt and repetenent sentiments gain the upper hand, even a liberal is left to question "what the hell was I thinking?". Even in the distorted mind of the liberal there is that deep, culturally ingrained componant of morality, which lead to a sense of introspection and guilt after embracing an unethical and immoral set of "beliefs".

Wake up- the rest of the population has recognized the insanity of liberalism and the message has turned sour. Sane beings have recognized the historical failures of this philosophy throughout the 20th century. Now, even liberals are beginning to recognize that they have been duped. There is no socialist utopia- only the cynical lies of totalitarianism which have culled the support of the uninitiated.

Yeah, that's not an important detail or anything.

Admit the mistake, have the retrial and if he's found guilty again, go from there.
The Supreme Court has previously ruled that states can't be forced to comply with the provisions of treaties without some intervening federal legislation.

And drop the offensive bagger crap. We all know what you mean by it but have no gumption to say it here. You'll be taken a bit more seriously if you show some respect for others views.
This is a fact that they choose to ignore because there should be nobody in the Dem camp against the Gov.

That's the courts' job. That's why there are appellate remedies. We are on one heck of a slippery slope if the Executive Branch of our Government starts to overrule the Judicial Branch to accommodate a specific group of people.

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration took the unusual step Friday of asking the Supreme Court to stop Texas from executing a Mexican citizen convicted of raping and killing a 16-year-old girl.
The administration said the court should delay the planned July 7 execution of Humberto Leal for up to six months to give Congress time to consider legislation that would directly affect Leal's case.

Police discovered Sauceda's nude body on a dirt road in San Antonio in May 1994. Evidence showed she had been raped, bitten and strangled. A large stick that had a screw protruding from it was left in her body.
Among other evidence, the bite mark was matched to Leal. Her bloody blouse was found at Leal's home. She and Leal had been attending a party not far from where she was found.

No time for a budget, but once again sticks his nose into something he has no business getting involved in. 2012 can't come fast enough.
