But hey, according to conservatives.

NOW is the time to say ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

Not really, Obama has increased the debt by 30% in 2 years. That is unique and has alarmed many folks. I don't think it is unreasonable to say we have to stop raising the debt ceiling and get our financial house in order. If we are going to continue to blow out the budget(which the Dems haven't submitted in 2 years) then why have a debt ceiling at all?

The debt doubled under Reagan and it didn't matter then.

I thought "and" was clear enough, but obviously not. Obama has raised the debt ceiling more in 2 years, then ALL presidents combined up to, and including Bush 1. I can increase debt limit DAILY without impact if I increase my revenues to co-inside with it..

Wow, you got ONE thing correct.. It DIDNT matter then because debt is meaningless IF the debt you create increases revenues. Is Obamas debt, increasing revenues? Clearly the answer is NO!!

Also intersetingly enough, we've had republican presidents for about 20 of the last 30 years but all the debt magically belongs to Dems? Why haven't the so called conservatives trimmed the debt while holding power for so long.

But it was a much smaller percentage of GDP and the economy was great.

Thats because debt originates in Congress, and Congress has been held by Democrats about 75% of the time over the last 40 years..
