The "right" to "marry" (as if a man could marry a man!) is the only thing that they are "fighting for"

Yep. And the 14th Amendment guarantees that our civil, secular laws (and the civil rights the impart) be applied equally to all. That's why banning Christian couples, or Jewish couples, or interfaith couples, or interracial couples, or same-sex couples from contracting civil marriages is unconstitutional.
It doesn't. I just merely clarified a question of yours and your concern that "someone has a problem with christianity" and I pointed out that those murdered in the name of religion have as well. At any rate, I asked you several posts back a question in an effort to get back on track. I'll ask it again.
Just what do you think the church should have done in this situation with respect to this man?
Not buried the guy. They have to right deny who every they see fit.
When you live every day of your life feeling like you cannot be who you are...when you do not have the same rights as your hetero counterparts do...when you have to fight just to not be labeled as deviant...well, then I guess you'll understand.
Until you identify what rights gay people are denied that straight people enjoy, you're engaging in masochistic paranoia.
Not that that makes you a bad person -- just an exhibitionist.

So you say. Let's see what the SCOTUS says, shall we?
This is precisely why the gay rights movement will cause legal problems in the United States until sweeping legislation is enacted. In my view, gay rights proponents will have to be prepared to give way to the rights of the church in any future legislation that swings their way. The rights of the church will undoubtedly be protected....and WILL be able to deny you a service of any kind if they so choose. I believe this is something that homosexuals should come to terms with sooner, rather than later.

I imagine they will within the next few years (most likely the Prop 8 case). Many lower courts have ruled on the issue, and they all have found that laws banning same-sex marriage are unconstitutional.

Ah, yes. "Imagine" (with apologies to John Lennon -- and Iowahawk!)
Imagine there's no unions
It isn't hard to do
No fatass thugs in purple
Bused in by SEIU
Imagine all the people saving all those dues
You may say I'd employ them
And I'm not the only one
But as today that's too risky
Thanks to Local 301
Imagine there's no bureaus
No stupid OSHA rules
Nothing to fill in triplicate
Designed by DC fools
Imagine all the business pro-duc-ti-vi-ty....
You may say I am greedy
But I'm not some lazy bum
If you don't like it, start your own business
And the world won't seem as fun
