Didn't her family bury animals with duct tape?

Man, the poor Fifth Amendment is being beaten like a red-headed stepchild in this thread.

Most people that bury their pets use duct tape to seal the plastic bags, very few buy caskets for their pets.

How they buried their pets means absolutely nothing.

As the prosecution pointed out, the Anthonys did not put duct tape over their pet's FACES when they buried them.

In what alternate universe is that acceptable and proof of no foul play?
If only the DA had thought of charging her with "Giving False Information to a Law Enforcement Officer in Reference to a Missing Person".

Oh, wait, they did. She was even found guilty.

Why would anyone put duct tape over any human's or animal's face after they are dead?

Answer...they wouldn't!

If Casey Anthony wanted to cover up an accidental death by making it look like a kidnapping, why didn't she cooperate with police to find the body?

Answer...even idiot Anthony somehow knew that the longer the body remained hidden, the less chance of forensic evidence uncovering the real cause of death.

She's created the perfect blueprint.

...as if she were a bystander on the outer perimiters of the case and not the and key suspect and mother of the dead child. It was if it was a seperate issue and not connected to the bigger picture. That is what is difficult to wrap one's head around. If she had cooperated, a more thorough and decisive forensic exam would have been possible. Each passing day that she fabricated story after story, her daughter's body was quickly decomposing.

How the jury did not connect the dots and at least come up with a lesser, but appropriate charge is mind boggling. From what I have read the past few days, the jury members that have decided to speak out, have not come off as being too bright and not completly understanding of the options they had other than the death sentence.

Because she was carrying the body around in the trunk of the car for days. You would put duct tape over the nose and mouth to help stem the decomposition fluids from leaking out all over the place.

Because it was not an accidental drowning. She couldn't call the police and claim a drowning with no water in the lungs and evidence of chloroform on the body.

I agree with you that she killed her.....I am just not sure whether it was accidental or on purpose. And yes, she could have used the duct tape to smother her.

I don't know that she killed her or that it was accidental, but either way, she committed a horrendous crime and is getting off without a care in the world.

I hope that one day somebody waterboards the bit*h to get at the truth. I don't condone torture, but anyone that can leave their baby like a pile of garbage for the wild animals to gnaw at, is the ultimate piece of human waste.
