I always scratch my head at parents who complain that teachers aren't teaching their kids the right things or the right way...are they too stupid to realize THEY can teach their kids stuff too?

Which is why vouchers and charter schools are becoming an issue in some states as public schools lose their $$$$ and are left with "difficult" students who are not academically astute which results in cheating on tests to make the grade for NCLB to get their money.

A vicious circle and it's all centered around the almighty dollar.

They are NOT losing any $$$. Local taxes STILL pay for the bulk of public education. These parents are STILL paying their taxes AND paying for private schools.

One reason for "difficult" students is a lack of discipline. Teachers and principles can no longer discipline like they used to.
