May I ask you what you know about the sexual proclivities of Hitler and others of the Nazi leadership? If they weren't maybe you could provide some proof of same. I really don't know but sure would like some of your kind of proof.
Hitler married a female. We learn about that in school. Ban discussions of Hetrosexuality in school!
Of course you're probably hinting that pop-history junk about Hitler being gay.
It's not on "behalf" of their color or gender. Since these groups have been persecuted at the hands of the white majority; it's more of an equalizing of all groups. It's saying that you can be gay and contribute to society; you can be black/female/whatever and be a contributing part of society.

I have been thinking while on this thread that I didn't know the sexual leanings of so many of our great people and wasn't taught that in school. I really don't believe that seeing so many gay supporters telling who was and who wasn't has changed me much, but then maybe I would liked those people much more if I had known that they were gay when I was in fifth grade. Speaking of which, I really don't think I gave a lot of thought to sex of any kind when I was in fifth grade.
I'm gay, but I think this is silly. Why pursue THIS issue when there are SO MANY OTHERS that are plaguing the state of California? Newsflash: It won't have an effect on bullying.
Your religion is as much of a choice as your sexual orientation (that beautiful thing is you can debate that statement from many different angles)
Kind of an odd textbook to omit such a thing, but given your love of the 1950s textbook and not modernizing, this shouldn't come as a surprise.

My religion is largely what my parents instilled in me but I can assure you that neither of them was crazy about gays although my mother tried very hard to convince me that their sex was their own decision.
Of course, you statement about religion being chosen just as sexual leaning runs counter to what most of the gays here keep saying. Yes religion is choice but most of those here say that sexual lean is not chosen, but inborn.
But then again, if you look for the devil anywhere, your mind will eventually start to play tricks on you.
