Don't let them into the schools. Saves the taxpayers some money, and protects the kids at the same time.

When we had this situation in MD a few years ago the vast majority of the kids where multi-generation US citizens.

And they let them into school.
Used to be you were turned away if you didn't have your shots.
That put the fear of God into your parents to take you to get the shots.

But now..no, we coddle to them, give them "passes" and local governments hire medical staff and doses and give out the free shots.

Why should any parent get their kids immunated for school when it will all be taken care of BY THE SCHOOL ?

Actually my system didn't. After a couple different week-end and evening immunization clinics (which people who were there bitched and moaned about on the local news) the kids were not allowed to attend school until they could prove they had gotten their shots.

Parents can always homeschool. Or, did California successfully outlaw that?

When I had the vaccine as a kid, it was the first of three shots. I reacted very badly to the first shot and actually got whooping cough. After I had recovered, the doctors insisted that I should have the other two shots. My parents refused (my mother was an RN and my father a pharmacologist) and had me tested which showed I was fully immunized. Had they been less medically knowledgeable and accepted the doctor's advice, I would have probably ended up with severe brain damage as happened to other kids in similar circumstances.
