Why should the rich continue to bilk America ? Why should the priviledged get tax breaks ? Why do they outsource their work to foreign countries instead of helping Americans ? It's time for the rest of Americans to wake up and do something about it.
My own mother will vote for a Republican just because she always has, and without knowing ANY of the points that the party supports. She thinks elephants are cute ! We need to wise up and realize that the Republican Party is only for the rich and corporate America and the rest of us can die trying to support them, for all they care.
The problem is lack of productivity among too many cititzens. I guess we need more people to get on the ball by inventing clever devices, like the Gyro Bowl, advertise them on TV, make million$ and eventually pay milion$ in taxes.
How much of the total tax take do those people pay? Remember that many of them get a "refund" check in the manner of something called 'earned income credit" after paying nothing at all.

Pretty much every post in this thread is a one sided he said, she said. None of you has mentioned the impact on the yuan on the manufacturing situation. Also, that people don't pay taxes doesn't mean that they aren't struggling.
The idiot partisans on both sides of the political equation are basically the reason why we have this mess. If people pulled their heads out of their respective rectums and stopped being manipulated then things would be much better around here.
How do you expect them to pay more when many are really just a few days away from homelessness?
This is a natural outcome when you have a great income disparity as the lower classes become unable to find employment that provides for a livable wage. I'm not saying that Obama has the answers to that... but I don't think the answer also is not to just pander to the rich and ignore the rest of the 50%.

Oh yeah? Let's see, Democrats have the poor and what? The unions? That's about it right there. The R's have what is left, the rich and...wait for it....wait for it.... NON UNIONIZED MIDDLE CLASS WORKERS, which there are more of than unionized workers.
