take a fetus out of the womb and see how it lives a fetus is dependent on the womb. a baby born is dependent on anyone who wants to care for it, a foster mom, a dad, a sibling even the mother who birthed it can take care of it. unlike the fetus in the womb the woman pregnant has the sole responsibility and the right to decide if she wants to carry it to term or not, so it can then be a living human being

Give the benefit of the doubt to nascent life or to treat it like a lump of goo?

when you grow a womb or want to foster all the fetuses that other woman don't want to carry. take care of them emotionally and financially for the next 18 years then you can be so noble as to give it the benefit of the doubt

That's a non starter. So? A baby inside or just outside the womb can't live without mom. That's an argument to protect both, not an argument to protect only one.

You make the mistake of confusing quantity with quality....

An argument that appeals only to emotion. Ethics oftentimes compel us to do things we as soon not do for the sake of expense or convenience. You don't really expect to justify the taking of what might be a human life with an argument like that, do you?

of course it is a "starter" a "mom" can be anyone as I stated. it can be a foster mom, a dad, a sibling anyone willing. in the case of the fetus the responsibility lies with ONE person. to add to that, the "life" is completely different, one is potential and clumps of developing cells. the other is fully formed human able to live and breathe independently from it's womb

I wonder if Rush was strung out on Oxy when he said this? Not that his sober ramblings make any more sense than his drug-influenced ones...

What was his next topic? The pressing need to ban same-sex marriage in order to protect the Holy sanctity of all four of his marriages?

How do you know what exactly a fetus is at any given time?

you want to save thousands of fetuses, who is gonna incubate them?

you see it as a life others see it as only potential. women should not be forced to be breeders against their will no matter how they got pregnant. a bit too much like hitler's super race eh?

I am unsure of what you are asking here. if you mean how do I know what stage of development a fetus is at, that is well documented.
