The social conservative group "Family Leader" has apologized for the section in it's candidate pledge that refers to black families being healthier under slavery. No indication they changed their minds about gays being disease-riddled degenerates, though.

So, when can we expect candidate Bachmann to apologize for signing the damn thing? Not right away, it seems. So far, her campaign is sticking to the unlikely story that the copy she signed didn't have the slavery reference in it(in spite of all evidence to the contrary- the slavery reference is the first bullet point in the preamble).

We'll see how long Bachmann's BS stands up. I'm predicting a full recant by Bachmann within 48 hrs.

Hopefully, it will be to little-too late to save her misbegotten campaign.

Why would Bachmann back down on her views on gay people? Her family business makes too much money from scamming self-loathing gay people into believing they can "pray-away-the-gay".

Bachmann is a nut job, and the whole world already knows it. It's pretty damn sad when we are suppose to decide between crappy candidates like her and Obama. I just won't vote!!!!!

Default Bachmann and Santorum back away from pledge slavery fiasco; claim inability to understand the written word.

Conservative Group Removes Slavery Language From Marriage Pledge Amid Controversy - FoxNews.com
"It's not clear whether Bachmann was aware of the slavery passage on the first page."
"It's not clear whether Santorum was aware of the slavery passage when he signed the pledge."

The pledge.

Slavery had a disastrous impact on African-American families, yet sadly a child born into slavery in 1860 was more likely to be raised by his mother and father in a two-parent household* than was an African American baby born after the election of the USA’s first African-American President.

Early Saturday, Bachmann's spokeswoman Alice Stewart said that the she had only endorsed the 14-point “candidate vow,” which did not include the slavery passage. (Which is totally retarded spin.)
*************************

It's the first bullet point of the document. So let's face facts.
A.They either can't read and comprehend English.
B. They didn't read what they signed.
C. They actually agreed it was quite awesome for slave families way back in the good ol' times of slavery.
Any choice is epic fail.

When's the last time you thought of a slave plantation as a "household".
Would the ship that carried them over have been a "temporary household?"
The more you think about what was said, the more stupid it becomes.

Slaves were not allowed to marry legally, but they almost always celebrated their union with a ceremony. Many prefered religious services - as many as two-fifths of the Episcopalian weddings in the Confederate states in the year before the war involved slaves. But the ministers never said "what God has joined together, let no man put asunder". The white owner could sunder a marriage with the wave of a pen, and in the eyes of the law, slaves could no more marry than they could go to court, own property, or control their children's fate.

They shouldn't be signing pledges anyway. They only did it to make money later on when the election is over with books and speaking engagements.

I'm more concerned about their desire to ban all forms of pornography.

Apparently neither one of them can read. Obviously, they're not qualified to be POTUS.
