“Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Monday disputed warnings that Social Security is headed for bankruptcy, calling those assertions an “outright lie.” And he says the huge federal entitlement program has not added “one penny” to the federal deficit.”
OK, so Social Security does not add one penny, not one! If that is the case then this must be explained:

He actually said without deal on the debt ceilling we might not have the money to make payments. He can't and isn't threatning to withhold anything.

Why do they keep lying and not post what he said, I doubt if the SS etc payments would have stopped, I guess the other side had lots of phone calls and emails, tweets or whatever.
This monster is now scaring our Senior citizens and Vets. This is truly SHOCKING.....but not surprising. BHO just clinched his Repub opponant of Victory in 2012.
Thats your opinion, Seniors, Vets and the Disabled are not that dumb, they can see what's happening, it was never going to happen. I'm sure the Republicans and Tea party received some phone calls, emails, tweets, whatever.

Why doesn't he threaten instead to withhold all the subsidies, research grants, foreign aid, all his vacations

And one of his Democratic cronies wants to increase the debt limit by another 2 trillion dollars?
From the way i understand it if the house doesnt vote to increase the debt limit then the country has no money and all those federal,state and municipal jobs that rely on gvmnt money/assistance get shut down due to lack of money. the Democrats are sitting at the table waiting to sign the bill that would raise the debt while the republicans are holding back and dont want to sign the bill so when the country goes belly up on Aug 2 dont blame the Dems..
