Well they wouldn't have had to nor anybody else had Clinton taken bin laden into custody when he was offered.

We have 10 to 12 operational carrier groups. China has 1. Russia doesn't even have an operational carrier. Do you even know what a carrier group consists of? We have more nuclear subs than China and Russia combined. We have more advanced technology than China. They just launched their first stealth fighter. We launched ours over 20 years ago. The US outspends every other nation in regards to it's military. You seem to be very delusional to say the least.

Everyone from Barney Frank to Ron Paul suggests that we should decrease our military spending, but if a Chinese general says it, suddenly the Chinese are running our defense budget. This is simple minded fearmongering.

The Chinese, in fact, criticized the USA for its suicidal tendencies demonstrated in its military spending. Health care expense and military spending account for nearly 2 trillion dollar in federal spending.

I'll just drop this, which neatly illustrates the relative weakness of the US Navy:

It might surprise you to know, but in general, countries don't just attack other countries for no reason. Putting one's life at stake is not what most people want to do. In fact, looking around me here in Italy and in Europe, I don't see much interest at all in America! The idea that "there's a boogeyman out there" is the only tool available to try to justify military spending. Once we realize that the people who are "out to get us" are few and far between, then we can consider using our resources to improve relations with other countries, rather than just building more walls and guns.

Consider Poland. Why should we even think of putting missile in Poland? That is nothing more than provocation! If we do that, we can't be surprised that they would want to put missiles in Cuba, can we?

The US is the only country in the world that has had the audacity to use the atomic bomb. Reflect a moment on that.

Peace!
