Yes, I am sure he timed his birthday to coincide with the shutdown.

That's not the point. Was just saying that his Majesty's bash occurs right afterwards. Will he be attending if a shutdown occurs? Will it be a useful political tool?

We don't have "majesty's" in this country, the picture you provided is not of Obama, it seems you are already vested in some anti-campaigning of your own. So your point would be that whatever Obama does, it will be fodder for your anti-campaign? If he doesn't attend the fund-raiser, his campaign is in trouble because he's not taking care of business? If he does attend the fund-raiser, he's in trouble because his priority should be....hiding in the White House?

This is just more of the "darned if he does, darned if he doesn't" muck that doesn't address any real issues, but gives Obama-haters something to gripe about.

Seems as though you have confused Obama with the French monarchy.
I'm sure you have no idea how long it takes to put something together like this.
I do, I used to be the F&B manager at a large hotel in Louisville, we did the Mayors wedding, that took almost a year, thats nothing compared to a fundraiser this large.

There won't be a shutdown. They will kick this can down the road until after 2012 elections.
American will then go back to worrying about the lastest Hollywood idol fiasco and forget all about the debt.

And that's the way DC wants it.
