I really don't know why people have a difficult time telling the difference between them.
They're= They are: meaning a group of people doing or about to do something. Example: They're going to church.
Their= belonging to a person. Example: We're going to their house.
There= a place or an area someone or something is in. Example: The church is over there.
READ them, LEARN them, RECITE them, PRACTICE them and USE them CORRECTLY!
Okay? Thank you.
Now where's my teacher's paycheck?!
It beats the heck out of me too. Some of the spelling and bad grammar on this forum makes me cringe. I even use proper spelling and punctuation when I text people (including commas). But then I'm an English teacher.

I have a friend who is an English teacher. She doesn't know the difference. There are definitely some very good, well educated teachers in the profession, but there are plenty who are just in it b/c it's an easy job. (By easy I mean easy to get into - not easy to do) At my college, education was everyone's back up program when they couldn't hack it somewhere else.

Oh, I used to type like that. But I was only 14 and 15. But I even see people in their early 20s who type like that. On Facebook, (this is mostly among girls), they space out the letters and put a 'q' in place of a 'g'. Back in Easter, one mother posted a status saying, "my kids found all the eqqs*" with a weird star symbol at the top. I don't know what "eqqs" are or what it means.
