Call it a "teat feat".

"Playing God" is a very overused term. It's often used when humans push beyond our known limits of understanding. When humans developed flight, it was thought that we were playing God. When we developed the hydrogen bomb and nuclear energy it was thought that we were playing God. But what does it even mean? Don't we play God all the time? We do things now that humans 2000 years ago thought only God could accomplish. Some primitive cultures now see our modern technology and think that is from the Gods.

We can either move forward into the future or be left behind like those primitive people in the video above.

I'm not surprised that so many are afraid of this idea, but think about this: if genetic manipulation could cure Parkinson's disease, Tay Sachs disease and a host of other genetically caused ailments, wouldn't it be worth pursuing? Genetics is the frontier of the future. It's the springboard that dozens of other innovations will launch off of. In the field of human intelligence alone, it will be the source of so much advancement. The Chinese are spending millions figuring out the genetic code for higher intelligence while Americans pretend that there is no genetic component to intelligence.

Excuse me but messing with the human race, our body parts, our blood, is ENTIRELY different than creating a plane or a computer. They way that our body functions is how the human race has survived this long. Messing with our bodies - the thing keeping us alive is most definitely playing God. And we don't know what kind of devastating consequences await from this.

Fear mongering without basis.

As Bill Maher said, the USA is falling behind the rest of the world with new advances because we are: "a superstitious, hyper-religious, intellectually backward country". He NAILED it.

Maher can go stick his fluoride riddled, GMO polluted head where it belongs, in the sand. Kinda like when Beck said fluoride is good for you and he'd drink buckets of the stuff
