There is an alarming absence of substantive news in the U.S. Try watching BBC, CBC, PBS, C-SPAN, or even Al Jazeera. It's very matter-of-fact reporting, but you might actually learn something by watching it.

But one of the biggest fallacies I keep reading about and hearing is the notion that we need multiple perspectives, which presumes that there is going to be an outrageous level of bias among individual news outlets and that individual viewers should be left to decide what is fair and balanced. This flawed notion proposes that individuals triangulate between the various sources of factual distortion to come up with their own version of truth...which is bunk.

News should be reported factually and followed up with deeper analysis, but without editorializing. It's nonsense to suggest that there are always two sides to every story.
I read multiple sources for news, not Fox News or MSNBC and I'm a very conservative person. I look for factual reporting in the most non-biased form possible. I'm smart enough to see that all media outlets have bias in some direction, the problem is those of you on the left insist that Fox is biased but the rest of the media isn't and that stems from the fact that liberals really do believe the BS they're fed by MSNBC and the rest of the left leaning media outlets that cater to them.

And I respectfully point out that this isn't the way to go about it. If Fox News is blatantly biased then they're not worth watching - period. If MSNBC is blatantly biased and if they're distorting the facts to cater to their audience, then they're not worth watching. Personally, I don't think any of the major cable networks comes across as truly credible these days. And even if they get the facts right, they are waaaaay short on analysis. CNN at least tries, I guess, but I would rather watch PBS or even international news services.

The exact same things can be said for those idiots on the left who believe Media Matters, MSNBC, Maddow and the rest of that crew. Why is this so hard for the *******s to accept?

Rupert looks like death warmed over!

Very much a symbol of the Faux News/talk-radio right...Rupert, Rushbo, Coulter, O'Reilly, Boortz, Cheney, Bachmann, Dumsfeld, Cantor, Trump...Am I seeing a theme here? To be a successful right-wing idol you have to be very creepy looking?
Kind of a special blend of serial killer/cult leader/CEO look to them...????

Where did I say that the rest of the media isn't biased? That wasn't my point at all.

Do you think Fox News is more biased than the other major players in the media?

I'm not a 'lib' in any way whatsoever. And I totally agree, by and large, the Fox News crowd are pretty much just ignorant sheeple!

Do you also feel that way about the "MSNBC crowd"?

ROFLMAO...I'm going to have to call B.S. on this...UNLESS...UNLESS you are so far-right that the only news you follow is the extreme right-wing conspiracy stuff on youtube, white supremacist news, or you are a member of that Westboro church in Kansas.

Like the birthers, and extreme religious nuts, think Faux News is too left. Are you a birther?
