Poll: 71% shun GOP handling of debt crisis - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

Poll: 71% shun GOP handling of debt crisis

Americans are unimpressed with their political leaders' handling of the debt ceiling crisis, with a new CBS News poll showing a majority disapprove of all the involved parties' conduct, but Republicans in Congress fare the worst, with just 21 percent backing their intransigent resistance to raising taxes.

Others don't fare too well either

Yes, it comes down to the 'lesser evil' option.

They are dissapointed with the GOP because they are not going far enough to take away Barry's keys to the company car.

Huh? Obama hasn't presented an option and the Dems haven't passed a budget in over 800 days. What options are you talking about?

I'll only be disappointed in the Republicans if they cave on the issue of allowing the federal government to borrow even more money.

Yes, 80% or Americans think tax increase would make sense.

Most Americans will have difficulty with that very complex problem. That's why I'm quite confident many will skip the polls. Why bother if neither side listens to you?

Approval option. People opt to support the party which actions they approve the most, or disapprove the least.

There are proposals from the bi-partisan board, which said could cut 4 trillion, there is the Ryan plan, which even the Republicans vomited out, there is the Obama 4 trillion plan, there is the Republican plan etc...So there are plans.
