First of all, I don't see that it looks like Obama might fail. He's faced controversy and rebuke since his election, and he's still progressed on most of his agenda. Not only does he consider the American PEOPLE and is working toward THEIR interests, but in doing so he indirectly reveals the interest in the wealthy and big business of the GOP.

If he's about to fail, why is that he has already amassed more contributions for his re-election than all the GOP wanna be contenders, combined? And, why are the majority of those contributors individual voters -- not corporations or special interest groups -- as are the usual "suspects" that support GOP candidates?

No, regardless of what the GOP wants us to believe, President Obama has done a great job of protecting the interests of the American people, and he is being rewarded for the diligence he's shown.

He could be pink with purple polka dots and I will support him. There's no one else to support that considers people like us.
It sounds like you are of the opinion that Barack Obama is not a corporate puppet.

I respectfully disagree. Wholeheartedly.

This is the same lady that was outraged a few years back due to the fact that hurricanes never had African sounding names.

About par for the course for this screwball.

This is true. She said that the naming of hurricanes by the World Meteorological Organization was racist because traditional black names like Mo'eisha or Shaniqua are not used.

She is a Class A Race Baiting Tool.

Do you really believe that if a white person was sending our economy off the cliff, conservatives would support that? This delusion of hating Obama because he's black is such an obvious political tactic.

When it looks like Obama might fail, just play the RACE CARD.

Charles Krauthammer has a novel idea,....."Call Obama's Bluff".
As part of the pose as the forward-
looking grown-up rising above all the others who play politics, Obama insists upon a long-term deal. And what is Obama’s definition of long-term? Surprise: An agreement that gets him past Nov. 6, 2012.

Call his bluff - The Washington Post

It's not about the debt ceiling stupid,...it's about being able to blame someone else for Obama's failure.
Was it because Bush was white that obama voted against the debt ceiling increase in 2006?

Wasn't this the woman who ran a scam to get her grandkids free (and unearned) Black Caucus scholarships, is being sued by a staffer because Rep Lee ignored her vision disability and abused her for it, and who also said that Christian militants were the same as Islamic terrorists? She is listed as one of the "Congressional Bosses from HELL", and there are stories in Washington about her mistreatment and foul language/verbal abuse of not only constituents but staffers that boggle the mind. Who cares what she thinks?

Actually, I think her comments were pretty much par for the course. Did anyone expect anything better from such as she? The sad part is that there are so many who would not only keep her in office in her home state, no matter what she does, but who would eagerly follow her lead on this as well as other topics. Emotionalism always trumps reason in this country any more. <shrug>

Ms Lee is off base with this one. But, people denying race plays no role in people's opinions of Obama is, idiotic. Some people like him because of his color and some hate him for the same reason.

Rangle played the card earlier in the week and now Sheila. How long before the whole CBC plays it? When there is no defends of Obama's agenda driven spending that has added $Trillions to the national debt, when there is no defense for his failed economic policies, when there is no defense for the rise in unemployment or the rise in prices at the gas pump under Obama, play the race card.

The race card: the card without limits (unlike the debt ceiling). Progressives, get yours today!
