Economics is a RELIGION not a science. It is a well organized system of belief created to justify the dominance of a few wealthy people over the rest of humanity. That justification is based on the BELIEF that the wealthy are better than the rest of us. 10,000 years of experience has proven the inanity of that idea.

Isn't that like saying if biology was a real science, there would be no disease or aging?

What about economic theories like communism?

It's a social science as others have said. A bunch of economists arguing may all be right. It's not like math where 1+1=2 all the time, or chemistry where Oxygen has 8 protons at all times.

Economists assume it's a hard science.

The world would be prosperous if the government allow everyone to make their own decision. But now, government thing central planning is the way to go. They said, they don't want you to make stupid choices. Yet, when government make won't choice, what they do? They expand the program and call it a success.

O having 8 protons isn't science. We have just arbitrarily defined the element with 8 protons to be O.

That is a silly question.

No one ever said Economics is a science. It is and has been rightfully labeled as a social science.

Your conclusion is equally silly. I can sit here all day long and tell you exactly why you don't have jobs, which is because your global work-force cannot compete against the global work-force in other countries, but if no one listens, and no one takes proper action, which would be focusing on the expansion of your domestic work-force (which does not compete globally) then that is not my fault.

I think the saying is that you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make the horse drink.

Economics is a Social Science- one that deals with notions of Scarcity.

All science is theory and no science is a perfect science.

Hard science is science which is verified by the scientific method. In other words, hard science is based on forming hypotheses, testing those hypotheses vs scientific controls.

"Soft" sciences, like psychology or economics, have no (ethical) way of testing a hypnosis versus a scientific control.
