"They" most certainly do, and have for centuries... not that two wrongs make a right, but spare me with this persecution complex. Or would you like me to start posting links to anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim articles? I'm sure I could find hundreds!

We (the Jews) have survived generations of slander, war, enslavement, genocide, torment, bigotry, etc, and still manage to be successful (overall) and largely unaffected by the BS. Maybe take a lesson from us, and try simply ignoring the haters? I could go to the Stormfront website right now, and chew out every Jew-hating bigot on there - but what would that accomplish, aside from angering and frustrating ME? Not everyone is going to like you, and that's just life.

Exactly where are Christians being abused or had "War" declared on them here in the USA?????
I have heard that War has been declared on religion in the USA from certain politicians who are desperately trying to get the evangelical vote by creating a hate campaign.
Unfortunately this tactic of creating a "Enemy of the church", in this case, does sway the easily led here. Independant thought has been replaced by media misinformation and myopic mass hysteria. Instead of moving forward, Americans are slipping backwards to the days when lies and fear based rhetoric from Politicians and the Church controlled the masses. One would think that with the access to global events that Americans would now understand what is really happening in the World but unfortunately millions here are like millions in Countries like Iran who base their world view on what the people in power want them to believe. Having come from another Country where we have daily access to Global events and news on our TV's and Newspapers i see the HUGE difference to what is accessable here...... to find real International news is extremely difficult here (except if you search your computer) Even National news id sparse.
This so called War on Christianity in the USA is a lie conjured up by politicians in a attempt to sway voters........... because of the NEWS filter here it is working.
Start looking beyond Fox news and the like and seeing what the truth is and NOT what the powerful want to use to control you and make themselves wealthier and more powerful..... bit like Russia huh?

Hey..when you finally get rid of religion then the only "god" left is the government and they will tell you what is morally right and wrong. You don't need a Bible; Uncle Sam knows best.

So your presumption is that only god or government can tell you what is morally right and wrong. Humans are unable to determine right from wrong for themselves?

The bottom line is, if Christians run around foaming at the mouth about q***r-this and Muslim-that all the time, their bad reputation is not going to be evidence of "religious persecution."

With religion out of the way the government has no competition.

Abortion issues go away.
Birth control issues go away.
LGBT issues go away.

No religion, no belief system to go against what the government determines is morally right.

All it takes is one law and an issue goes from being bad to being good and everyone should "accept" it.

Now I'm not talking about murder although we do have laws saying it's wrong and punishable.

This is more about progressive social issues.

So, what you ARE saying is that humans cannot tell right from wrong. We need guidance from outside ourselves because we have no innate morality.

For things like killing or stealing sure.
But abortion, gay rights, etc.

At one time abortion was wrong and illegal.
But now it's not.

So you think in absolutes.

It's wrong to kill.

It's wrong to take something that doesn't belong to you.

It's wrong to have an abortion.

But it used to be right to own slaves.

According to the bible, it's right to beat your wife.

If your brother dies, it's right to marry his widow.

It seems like what used to right has changed in some ways. But if right and wrong are absolutes, that cannot be. Absolutes don't change.

Something of a quandary, eh?
