Because it's wrong to tell someone to not do something that will be bad for them?
Why do you think that abstinence-only is the only way you can tell someone, and without such thoughtless implementations that the goal can't be achieved?
Certainly it's true that abstinence works. But teaching kids that it's the ONLY way to avoid pregnancy is not the way to go, clearly.
Well, as far as I know, the only way to truly be 100% sure you are not gonna get preggers is not to have sexual intercourse.
I had the fear of God put into me from my parents in re: to having a baby out of wedlock. It used to be you were ostracized and labeled very bad names if you had a baby at 16. If you dared have sex, you knew to take precautions.
Funny how my generation seemed to figure out that unprotected sexual intercourse can lead to babies without having ANY TYPE OF SEX ED taught in school. If parents are doing their job . . . there should not even BE sex ed in schools.
The only reason sex ed should be in schools today is to inform kids about STDs and AIDS. Anyone who reaches puberty and doesn't know where babies come from in this society must live in a cave.
One does not have to "teach" abstinence. One teaches about diseases and how babies are made. Most people are smart enuff to figure out that the only way to be 100% sure they can avoid pregnancy or Chlamydia is to not engage in sexual activity. Obviously, teens are willing to take that risk - no matter what they have been taught.

Of course teens are willing to take risks, no matter what they are taught, since either they are not taught anything at all (except maybe how to put a condom on a banana) or they learn via TV shows on a certain channel that use to play music videos that being pregnant or being a mom at 16 might get you on television.
In today's age of everyone wanting to be famous and any risk is considered acceptable to become famous, why does anyone expect a result other than what we are seeing?
Just another Palin doing their part to protect the sanctity of traditional shotgun marriages.
Any bets on whether Sarah Palin will get a clue and quit preaching to others how they should live their lives? Her hypocritical social conservative authoritarianism would be amusing if it didn't lead to real people getting hurt and losing their civil rights.

I thought Track was an adult and could do whatever he liked.
Is that not the case?
