He has a point. Do you agree with him?

The "common man" has a mind? That's news to me.

Bill Maher is a legend in his own mind and try as he likes, he does not relate to the comman man/woman.

It wasn't so much that I agreed with Maher as I did with the guy he interviewed (can't remember his name). He did a good job of explaining what Rupert Murdoch has done with the "Archie Bunker" type person in the UK. Put some breasts on page 3 and then right next to it say that "so and so's are perverts". Put some breasts on page 2 and next to it say "Unions are evil." He stated that over the years, those statements sort of drip into the mindset.

They then discussed how Murdoch changed media but, not breaking laws, but doing things that people never did in the past out of some sense of honor. Murdoch said "why do I need a media station that's balanced, I don't" and created biased Fox News.

I thought the whole piece was rather interesting.

Why should anyone go for common denominator? Except American TV, of course.

Why should any person go for an extremist like Bill Maher?

We get it, you don't like Bill Maher. Personally, I thought the interview with the guest was pretty good. Can we get back to discussing it besides your hatred for Bill Maher and obvious veiled defense of wonderful Mr. Murdoch?

I agree with Maher sometimes, but not here. Murdoch is a great businessman. He just supplied the latent demand.
