I'll give you that he wants to cut the deficit by raising taxes.. which would create larger deficits...
Based on what? The way your poop looked in the toilet today? Democrats tend to want nicely funded government programs. Don't you think that if lowering taxes would give them more revenue that they would lower taxes? I mean seriously, be a grown up and stop and think about that point.

If lowering taxes were going to increase revenues, then the CBO and every economist in the country would be screaming to have taxes lowered. They aren't.

Did you bother studying Economics in college? Did you even go? If any politician could both cut taxes AND raise revenue they would do it. It's infantile to suggest differently.

Less right wing blogs and more library for you.

I agree. The only thing transparent in this administration is Obama himself. Very easy to see through.

Agreed. It makes me reconsider my position on term limits. I'm generally against them, but with the current crop of career politicians maybe it's time to clean out the stables.

The president said in his speech Friday evening that he would be willing to work on “any plans” that lawmakers brought him over the weekend. “The only bottom line that I have is that we have to extend this debt ceiling through the next election, into 2013,” President Obama said."
This is a major error by the Obama Administration - it's a total admission that they ONLY thing they care about is re-election and nothing about the problems this country faces.

Geithtner mentioned the "7 month debate" on the Debt ceiling several times today on several Sunday shows ..... not a single host asked him why the Democrats did not pass a Debt ceiling increase in December of 2010 when they still controlled the House and Senate.

Obama signed the extension of the Bush Tax Rates - they are now the Obama (and Democrat) Tax Rates, they had the votes to extend the Debt Ceiling also, but chose not to do it. Probably a result of the 'shellacking' they got from the voters in the November 2010 election - the public is FED UP with this stuff. The Obama 'bottom line' of after the election proves beyond all doubt that he only has one interest and one goal ..... Re-Election at all costs.

This is all Kabuki Theater.

Absolutely the most important thing in this country, and the world, is to make sure that corrupt SOB gets his incompetent butt kicked out of the WH before he can do any more damage. The country can not afford to put that man back in the WH, so it should be everyone's main goal.
Once we dump him, the county can begin to recover, not before........!!

Can you imagine the 24/7 hysteria the mainstream media would be airing if the hated George Bush/GOP majority had TOTALLY failed to submit a budget for 2 years? More proof that the MSM is merely the propaganda wing of the DNC.
