Well, that would be nice. I'm fine with that, but I'm here to tell you that every single solitary time you even hint that I, as a Mormon, am not a Christian, I'll be right here to set the record straight.

Even if you consider mormons, catholics, etc to be Christian....what did this nut job display that would make us believe that he should be lumped in with anyone that claims to be Christian?
I haven't got a clue. Nut jobs are what they are.

Did Jesus tell us we should go around mass-murdering people? Is that a command of Christ?
What do you think? And what do you think I think? We can probably agree that "real Christians" don't go around mass-murdering people and that it's not a commandment of Christ to do so.

This is how skeptics keep the faith.

Just so people know the Knights Templar are a modern group as well

Grand Encampment, Knights Templar

Also, I wish that some people on here could see that their arguments about this man not being a true Christian are EXACTLY the same as the arguments put forward by Muslims since the attacks on 9/11. Maybe something positive to come out of this could be that people will realise that those who commit atrocities are not representative of any religion but of pure evil. There are people who use religion as an excuse for their own warped thinking or are influenced by misinterpretations of their religion but that does not mean that we can tar everyone with the same brush.

Why does it matter that he wasn't a practicing Christian or attended church regularly? The overwhelming majority of Christians don't practice the faith or attend regular services. That doesn't make him less Christian.

Jonestown was a cult. It ended as badly as it did because Jim Jones tried to do what all cult leaders try to do-- set himself up as God. If any good can come out of nightmares like this, it's to serve as a warning for all believers everywhere. A very dire warning.

Actually, it does. It demotes him to the status of nominal or cultural Christian.

Billo without his anger is like Flava Flav without his clock and horned helmet.

If a Jehovahs witness can be described as Christian, then the idiot in Norway can be.

One Christian using religion to kill people is not a reflection on the rest of the religion, just as muslim terrorism has nothing to do with the rest of Islam.

All three of the major Abrahamic religions are evil if you read their holy books. The difference is, most rational people don't do what their holy books say.
