I agree, but how will authority ever not be corrupt. It's human nature. Give somebody that bit of power man, and they just go nuts!
I agree with that but at least when corruption/criminal behavior happens, punish it. What we have now is a force completely governed by themselves that has absolutely no accountability. They violate people's rights with no remorse and then claim to be enforcing the law
What they need is to be met with non-violent force. They need to be shown that there's power in the masses and that citizens WILL band together if the cause is just. If they decide to go rogue, well then you have an armed and angry mob that is willing to go rogue too.
I try to be a pacifist and non-violent but I will not continue to have my rights violated and my life demeaned for nothing.
There's no excuse. The only way he'd make that dumbass comment would be if he hadn't watched the video.
If these officers want to be so tough how bout they go patrol the real problem areas. They won't even show up on call in some of the worst hoods.
I know one thing, it scares the living hell out of me. I warned my sons (3) about how to behave when being pulled over by the police, be polite and let them think they are the boss, it is only a few minutes of your life. Anything else we can deal with in court.

The problem is that even being polite and completely cooperative can still get you killed. Google what happened to a police chief's son in Denver a few years ago. He was nearly beaten to death by a psycho cop when he stopped to ask the cop for directions. Some of these cops are pure criminals that simply hide behind a badge. The fact that certain members here defend them to the very end defies logic. If you are so for "Law and Order" and respect for the law then you should have zero tolerance when cops break said law.
At least 13 people were arrested at a rally outside the Fullerton Police Department on Saturday to protest the acquittal of two former Fullerton, Calif., officers accused in the beating death of Kelly Thomas.
The protest, organized mostly through social media, drew a few hundred people and came in the wake of a jury’s decision to acquit former Officer Manuel Ramos and former Cpl. Jay Cicinelli in the 2011 death of the 37-year-old homeless man outside a Fullerton transit station.
Ron Thomas, Kelly's father, was at the protest gathering the crowd and asking them who would join him at a Fullerton City Council meeting in a few days, attendee Ky Sisson said via Twitter.
Protesters were peaceful for the majority of the rally until police ordered the crowd to disperse when some people turned violent, according to the Fullerton Police Department.
