This game is going to get old - fast.
And jobs were getting created at a reasonable pace, until the republicans got hold of the house (while winning election on the ground you speak of), and since they starting "working on jobs", the growth has stalled. And "stalled" may be a stretch in July with the continued drama on debt ceiling.

Well in the past few days we're getting hit here locally with increased taxes as counties, schools and cities pass their budgets. Increased school taxes, property taxes, garbage fees, electric, you name it.
A couple of hundred here, 40-50 there, 10-20 the next place.
Why are Republicans opposing any new taxes when polls show that Americans want cuts and new tax revenue to solve the deficit shortfall?
The people who are screaming for new taxes aren't screaming for new taxes for themselves, they're screaming for new taxes for someone else. Besides the best way to grow revenue is to CUT taxes. Tax increases will only lead to decreased revenue, it's a proven fact.
