Of course. That is why it is a bit ironic that those that complain loudest about the drug violence along the border are also the same ones shouting abiut the 2nd amendment. Can't have it both ways. You want easy access to guns, you got 'em.

Clearly, we need to build a fence across all 2100 miles of our southern border to protect the Mexican people from the gun violence resulting from smuggled illegal firearms. Perhaps putting the US Army on the border would help as well. With the fence up, backed up by the military, it will prevent or at least drastically cut the illegal gun supply heading into Mexico.

I live in LA and I never thought guns were being smuggled through the Mexican border. I always thought the illegal guns turning up in LA were coming from other states.

I really hate the gun nuts in the US because they prevent any kind of "common sense" gun legislation from being passed.

What common sense gun legislation are you referring to?

Usually, the only people that obey gun laws are law abiding citizens. Criminals generally ignore gun laws.

I challenge you to name ONE law - that passed or that didn't - that has or would have reduced the ability of a criminal to obtain a firearm.

One.

"Common sense" like banning criminals and people with mental problems from legally getting guns? Those are already federal crimes. There are over 20,000 gun control laws throughout The USA. The problem is they don't work! Never have, never will because the criminals don't care about them. They're criminals, remember? The only folks that obey them are law-abiding and they are not the problem.

At least we are exporting something. This earns us foreign credits for Mexican oil.

With luck it will also provide the arms needed for the next Revolution that will finally overthrow the aristocrats that rule Mexico. We should send more. Lots more. Along with some CIA operatives that specialize in destabilizing governments. We could interfere with a foreign government for the benefit of the people instead of the kleptocrats currently looting the place.

Did it ever occur to you who are clamoring for stricker laws on guns that the reason there is a blackmarket for guns into Mexico is because they are illegal there?

And that drugs laws are the reason for gun violence, which has created a blackmarket for both drugs and guns?
