I hate to break it to you but you completely missed what I posted, that's exactly what I said. The USPS will never be like what it once was and that's mainly related to size. There's no need to keep that many USPS employees on the payroll if there isn't anything for them to deliver. Anyone who works for the post office who didn't see this coming years ago deserves to be out of work since they didn't prepare for what was coming.

Keep USPS the same and use it to nationalize UPS and FED EX.

Nationalize not privatize is the way of the future.

So you want an organization that is billions of dollars in debt to take over companies that are currently profitable?

Isn't that like asking your deadbeat uncle who owes $50k to a casino to manage your personal finances?

Get rid of USPS. It's worthless overpriced service that is 85% unreliable. The future is privatization. Privatize USPS.

Yes, can't have those private companies doing well because they are manged better, fiscally responsible, and practical, nope... need to take them over and insure they turn to crap just as much as USPS does. It is the socialist mantra "there can be no excellence, only mediocrity"

So as a rural carrier, tell me exactly how I was to prepare "for what was coming." Sorry, but that's just a wee bit out of my pay grade.

What have you done to study up on other skills so you can get a job working for a different company?

Unless I steal mail, I don't see me going anywhere. I work in the largest post office in area that I work. No one is leaving our office. Now if I were in management or a P&DC worker, I would be looking for another job. As long as there is something to deliver, I will be delivering. Also, I am fairly decent on seniority.

Oh and thanks NRLCA...
