I am pretty sure they don't realize that at all.

My Congressman is one of the new ones but he is not a Tea Party member although he comes very close to being with them. I think he may have been one of the yes votes which I don't like and will sure tell him about it the next time we talk.

Because 22 republicans and every Dem voted against it, but it still passed the House. The Dem Senate killed it! Keep up.

Maybe you can explain what a compromise is since you use the word twice in that post. I don't see much of an example of compromise there but maybe you can point out to me what it is. I have been asking progs all day to explain the word to me and not one has done so. One tried but failed.

Not so. They voted to table it until Reid could finish his version and they could get something to compromise with.

The bill is not dead, only tabled. I think they will have to debate it to make up a compromise bill to send back to the House. This is necessary because Geithner and Obama set August 2 as the deadline. I don't see how Dirty Harry and his gang of theives can get much done before Sunday sometime and that leaves the House in short supply of days to work with the compromise bill the Senate will send them.

Too many people here don't understand how this all takes place since the last big ones weren't done the way the rules in each house call for. Stimulus was written by some group of Dems and got no votes in either house. Obamacare was written properly in the House, by committees but the Senate passed something that was written in secret by Dirty Harry and a gang of thieves from labor unions and then passed without debate in either house. Remember that Nasty Nancy said we have to pass this bill so we can know what is in it. As we find out more about it more people get against it.
