Remember the good old days, a couple of months ago, when the Obama administration (with Hillary in the forefront), helped show Hosni Mubarek the door? Remember the Muslim Brotherhood - those swell guys that no one should fear? Remember the "Hunger for Change - Democracy In Egypt - Muslims/Christians "We are One" Speech" speech by President Obama last February? Here it is in case you forgot:

‪President Obama Speech on Egypt/Mubarak Resignation 2-11-11‬‏ - YouTube

Well, things have taken a turn...

"Hard-line Muslim clerics called for an Islamic state from several stages that had been erected by the Muslim Brotherhood and other conservative Islamist movements, while thousands of followers marched around Tahrir Square repeating the clerics' call: "Islamic, Islamic, not socialist, and not communist." Others displayed banners with Islamic slogans "Allah is Great," and "No god but Allah." By Friday afternoon, many of the secular political followers who also had gathered for the demonstration had abandoned the square...Thousands of the Islamists from outside Cairo arrived at the demonstration by bus, taking advantage of a $4 fare that the Muslim Brotherhood announced Thursday on its website. "Today is a proof to everyone that Egypt is an Islamic state and will remain Islamic," said Mohamed al-Iraqi, a 22-year-old Muslim Brotherhood member. "No one forced those thousands to come down and protest. They came down to assure that their country will remain Islamic."

Egypt 'unity' rally turns into Islamist show of strength - World Wires - MiamiHerald.com (http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/07/29/2337186_p2/egypt-unity-rally-turns-into-islamist.html - broken link)

"I don’t know if Egypt has ever seen as many beards with no mustaches concentrated in one area as it did last Friday when tens of thousands of ultraconservative Muslims thronged Cairo’s Tahrir Square in a massive show of force to demand the implementation of the Islamic Sharia law...Following Mr. Mubarak’s departure, Egyptians had high hopes for a democratic civilian state, and the West breathed a sigh of relief with assurances by the Muslim Brotherhoods that they would respect the transition to democracy. But Friday’s chants in Tahrir, the cradle of the Egyptian revolution, must have made some knees shake in Washington before anywhere else across Egypt and the region. “Islamic. Islamic. Not Western or Eastern. No liberal or secular,” demonstrators chanted. “With our soul and blood we defend you Islam.”

Mustapha Ajbaili: New Tahrir chants must have made some knees shake

This is Egypt's business and no one elses... what does it matter, that's THEIR decision and we should butt out...

I know to some, 'freedom of choice' only applies to themselves.

Yeah, Obama sure has been the paragon of peace . . . instead of pulling our guys out of the middle east - something he promised to do - he has managed to escalate things in the middle east. I guess no one even noticed that we sent weapons to insurgents in Libya. Another great leadership move.

I couldn't understand the dancing in the streets over the whole Egyptian coup. Not our business, first of all . . . and backing insurgents can lead to unintended consequences - such as Sharia law.

It seems the US has not learned that lesson yet so it will probably take bombing a few more countries before the entire ME is under Sharia Law.

I guess it won't stop the US from continued foreign aid though..

Yeah, I saw the figure for how much aid we were sending Egypt - cant' remember what it was now (easy enuff to google, I guess, lol). I just couldn't believe it. Why we are hanging around over there . . . spending money and getting our military shot up . . . makes me so angry . . .

Yeah, like the Germans should never have bombed Pearl Harbor, the US should never have bombed Cairo.

While we didn't overtly bomb in Egypt, you'd be a fool to think we weren't involved.

With Libya, Yemen and Somalia we are bombing.

Maybe we should have never "butted in" in the first place...
