A politician who emailed a woman nude photos of himself that were posted on a GOP activist's website has resigned and said he will consider all legal options to have the pictures taken down.
New Jersey democrat Louis Magazzu, 53, admitted sending the photos to the woman he said he had been corresponding with online for several years.
He claims she requested the pictures but was working with an 'avowed political enemy' at the time and that he did not know.
I don't get why he stepped down. Nothing mentioned that relates to his political office or using political power in the article. I wonder if there is more to this?

He probably stepped down because nobody will look at him the same ever again and he won't be able to do well in his job. If a guy can easily be talked into this by a woman ... etc.
You people don't understand how things are done here in NJ when it comes to disgraced or fallen political apparatchiks.
He'll end up in some other public payroll position with a Water Commission, Turnpike Authority, Casino Authority (we've got hundreds of 'em) in order to keep boosting his gold plated pension and benefits and keep suckling on the most tax-money-rich teats in the nation.
Don't feel too bad for him.
