No government in the world likes to be told what to do, or how to do it.

In so many ways, this shows that the "new world order" isn't as new, or as orderly, as some would have you imagine

Oz, I'm confused...what did my post have to do with the TeaBAGGERS?

I just think it's no coincidence that the CEO of S&P is a staunch Republican......and not even the Democrats are mentioning this.

I think it's just one of a million examples of Republicans wanting to bring down Obama ..and not giving a damn what it does to the country...

On the contrary most banana repubs just have to take their rating. I live in a developing country (fondly called the 3rd world by you first worlders )
and we have an A (stable) rating from S&P despite having much higher macro-economic fundamentals than other countries in our rating class. We just have to accept what S&P gives..none of this raiding BS or even how Obama said despite what S&P says America is AAA Talk about arrogance in the first world.

The only ones to blame are the TEA Party right?

So...if the downgrade was planned,it must have been to hurt them, not Obama.

The real silliness here is taking S & P as gospel given how wrong they've been about many things in the past.

That is true burdell. But this is how the game is played whether we believe it or not.

Personally I don't think the US deserves AAA rating because we can't control our spending and Congress isn't even looking at cutting all the small, unnecessary spending first. Ending the WH Page program is one step but there's so much more they can cut back on before they attack SS and medicare and the last middle class tax deduction for interest payments.

S&P is a tad more than a messanger in this circus. They created the report, apparently out of desire to play politics. US ability to pay her bills was never compromised, despite of what the politicians told the media.

I don't blame the teaBAGGERS completely.

I blame the Republicans who planned from the begining to "get Obama"....and had a convenient god, the CEO of S&P, to do some of their dirty work....

It's hard for even me to believe the Republicans and the Flea Party can hate Obama and this country so much they're willing to destroy it...
