It seems that a very large majority of people involved in this call want that cross to be there. Republicans and non-affiliated people make most of that group. Of course, with numbers like that Democrats who aren't atheists are a large number.
Most Democrats (51%) believe the separation of church and state is meant to protect the government from the church. Sixty-two percent (62%) of Republicans and 57% of unaffiliated adults think it’s supposed to protect the church from the government.
Does any of this statement make any sense? It sure does to me.
Seems fair.
The majority of Americans want entitlements (which you actively partake in) untouched and taxes raised on the top tier.
Can I also assume you're fine with that, since the majority want it?
It doesn't matter how many want it or how many don't. What is included in a museum collection is not decided by popular vote.
Nor should it be.
If paintings in Art Museums were decided by popular vote, the Picassos, Braques, and Matisses would be in storage and pictures of dogs of different breeds playing poker would be gracing the walls of our museums!

And Elvises on velvet!
