I only wish that were actually true instead of BS excuse. Maybe after 2012 elect, the Senate will get the 60-61 Dems it needs to accomplish anything.

The answer to that should be obvious. The government can't create jobs. Where do you think the government gets its money? It gets it from the private sector who don't work for the government via TAXING them. ALREADY the bloated government is 2x the size of the private sector! You can't get blood from a stone. The private sector is paying all it can right now. The Democrats don't care about that. They see it as a minor detail and they aren't very good at math. They like to TAKE TAXPAYER MONEY and spend it the way they like whether the taxpayer agrees with it or not or whether it is financially responsible to do so or not.

Enough is Enough! Government sponsored JOB bills should be unconstitutional. Do you want to pay MORE MONEY in taxes?

The only thing that Government could do to faciliate new jobs would be to REPEAL just about EVERY BILL they've passed since OBAMA was elected that are all so destructive employers don't DARE hire ANYONE due to all the new PENALTIES, RULES, REGULATIONS, FEES that a small business in the United States must comply with.

The sad thing is, 0bama can make the same exact promises that he made in 2007-2008 and the sheeple will buy into them all. He will claim to focus on jobs, repeal the Bush tax cuts, slow the rise of the oceans, heal the planet, heal racial relations, change the way Washington politics operate, and even bring civility and bipartisanship to Washington.

"The journey will be difficult. The road will be long. I face this challenge with profound humility, and knowledge of my own limitations. But I also face it with limitless faith in the capacity of the American people. Because if we are willing to work for it, and fight for it, and believe in it, then I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth. This was the moment - this was the time - when we came together to remake this great nation so that it may always reflect our very best selves, and our highest ideals. Thank you, God Bless you, and may God Bless the United States of America."

0bama certainly is not responsible for it all, he is just responsible for taking a bad situation, that was a slow march towards the cliff, and turning it into a full throttled sprint, with the promise of grand leap off the precipice.
Yep, besides getting a better POTUS in office we need to attack all those other problems as well, just getting a new POTUS is not going to help much. For example, let's say Rick Perry or someone like that wins in 2012, businesses will of course recognize that's he's much more biz. friendly & may hire a few new workers. I think the govt. fudged UE rate is at 9.8% right now, but even at the end of a republican president's term, I can't see UE falling below about 8.5% ever again. High UE is going to be the new norm.

Sure, 8.5% UE would be better than what we have now, but it still is awful.

Because the Republicans are too busy making sure the corporations who move their companies overseas can still deduct their moving costs from their taxes.

Already been there and done that.

A democratic party majority is what 1% GPD growth, perpetual 9% unemployment and $4 trillion in new debt looks like.

Growth anemic, debt row poses recession risk | Reuters
Output increased at a 1.3 percent annual pace in the second quarter as consumer spending barely rose, the Commerce Department said on Friday. In the first three months of the year, the economy advanced just 0.4 percent, a sharp downward revision from the previously reported 1.9 percent gain.

....and from the same article:

The March earthquake in Japan severely disrupted U.S. auto output, which subtracted 0.12 percentage point from GDP growth in the second quarter.

Makes 0bama's lame attempt the other day to claim that Japan's earth quake played a significant factor in our poor economic growth.

0bama August 2, 2011:

"In the last few months, the economy has already had to absorb an earthquake in Japan"

To be fair to 0bama, 0.12% was actually ten percent of our GDP growth, and that is the really sad part. the reality is that 0bama's harmful actions, and those of his administration and the democrats this year, and the last two years, was easily 75% of the the lack of jobs and economic growth.
