whoa hold on don't use NATO so far of all 28 memebers only 4 nations are involved
NATO Forces still active in the 2011 military intervention in Libya: The United States' allied counterparts are Canadian Forces Operation Odyssey Dawn, the French counterpart is Opération Harmattan and the British counterpart is Operation Ellamy.
of 28 NATO memebers only 4 carry the burden which is why NATO sucks and we need to start kicking memebers out who don't contribute.
here even in afghaistan ISAF NATO mission
28 memebers only
2 nations Canada and the UK took to the front lines and fought along side US Combat troops and also took heavy loses there. Yet again NATO does not contribute only a handful of nations do actually contribute.
During the first five years of the war, the vast majority of coalition deaths were American, but between 2006 and 2010, a significant proportion were amongst other nations, particularly the
United Kingdom and
Canada which have been assigned responsibility for the flashpoint provinces of
Helmand and
Kandahar, respectively. This is because in 2006,
ISAF expanded its jurisdiction to the southern regions of Afghanistan which were previously under the direct authority of the U.S. military. As
Robert Gates pointed out on June 10, 2011, in his "last policy speech" as U.S. Secretary of Defense, "more than 850 troops from non-U.S. NATO members have made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan. For many allied nations these were the first military casualties they have taken since the end of the
Second World War."
