Exactly, but partisans always think the OTHER guy is at fault. Every politician in the last 30+ years shares some of the blame.

He can't do that because it looks too much like Obama and Geithner.

When we started legislating illegally with the wrong people writing bills and tis last time the President was involved which shouldn't have happened. None of the killer laws Obama has had passed were passed properly and that makes it appear that our Constitution is probably dead.

You should thank them. They were telling the idiots all along to deepen the cuts.

If they are done and we need tax increases, I'm on board.
I endorsed the bipartisan Gang of Six deal that addressed nearly 4 trillions of cuts to entitlement with 1 trillion tax revenue.

What you prefer is all cut in spending. Cut, cut, cut. We all had the chance to score 3 apples, but then ended up with paltry of one rotten apple with worms.

Compromise for the GOP was the dirty word until the 11th hour.

Exactly. And said, that this how they want it to play out even time the Debt Ceiling needs to be raised.

The TP has started the ruin of our credit and economy.

But, as they say, they don't care.

I think that you have no idea what is happening if you think that this downgrade happened due to the TEA Party. The US has been on a downhill slide for years due to entitlement programs.

Better be blaming dumbass clown Obozo who threw away trillions of taxpayer dollars and increased our debt so greatly that a graph of the increase looks like a rocket launching to outer space.

Very, very sad for the U.S., and the worst part is that there's no change on the horizon. Our leaders are weak, and any potential leaders are too. And you know what's going to happen Monday? They'll all be at it again. It's Obama's fault. It's the GOP's fault...the ship is sinking, we're on it and the crew can't make peace long enough to save the ship.

A hundred years from now, when our decline to a second rate power will be analyzed by historians, they will say that our politicians, with their pettiness, their weakness, their indecisiveness, and their selfishness brought down our country while the citizens just shook their heads in anger and disbelief. Shame on them!

Very sad for the U.S. tonight.

Obama wanted 4 trillion. However, our lovely Republicans didn't want to COMPROMISE to get there. So the REAL idiots are the TP and GOP.

How do you know that any of us will be allowed to vote in 2012? I fear this may kick off some dictatorial crap from the czars and their boss?? .
