Let me see... the Credit agencies said there would have to be a great amount of cuts...

1) Obama wanted ZERO cuts and increase the debt ceiling...
2) Then he wanted MODEST cuts and increase the debt ceiling...
3) Then realizing that he NEEDED big huge cuts of 4 Trillion or more and HAD the support to do it... he fought tooth and nail for tax increases in exchange.... even though HE was the one in the weaker position...
4) He was an idiot and now got 2 Trillion in tax cuts for his actions and creating the distrust between the political parties....

Why would I not blame Obama? He knew how much he had to cut, he pushed for his rhetoric of tax increases, pissed everybody off, and then only got 2 Trillion in tax cuts which aren't really cuts at all... so who do I blame? When Obama was first an idiot, a smarter idiot, an obstructionist, and then finally a loser...

Maybe short term, but long term - no way. 9/11 brought us together for a few months. Look how long that lasted.

Unfortunately, I think we'll always be a "I want mine but you can't have yours" society. I hope I'm wrong.
