You need to know your TIME... that article is two hours old... this thread is 30 minutes old... it means it happened 30 minutes ago, not two hours ago...

Absolute rubbish. I am no Tea Party fan, but they were right. The downgrade happened because the debt reduction deal was smoke and mirrors. our deficit is equal to our GDP, that ain't the Tea Party's fault. The time to cut entitlements is now!

Obama quadrupled the deficit and doubled the debt under his administration. Scapegoating Bush is getting really old!

So you're saying that Bush gets a free pass for creating trillions of budget deficit before he left the White House to dump it on Obama? On top of that, he ran the economy into the ground before handling it off to Obama, placed the Bush taxes in effect for two more years before another extension.

And you think Obama had the power to stop it all from happening? LMAO.

At least one of the rating agencies has the guts to call a spade a spade.
We deserve it; actually we deserve worse.

Our government is a sham..raise the ceiling and talk about cuts 10 years down the road when we are running a $1.6 trillion deficit this year.

For the first time EVER our credit rating has been downgraded...and it happened under Obozo's watch. Change you can believe in! The dumbass is breaking all sorts of records left-and-right...all of which are absolutely destroying this country. Clown Obozo is Jimmy Carter on massive steroids - zillions of times worse. The sooner this idiot leaves the people's house on Pennsylania Avenue - the better off all Americans will be.

Nothing was cut..those are cuts to FUTURE spending 10 years down the road.

Nothing was done about the $1.6 trillion deficit we have NOW except to raise the ceiling to cover it.

There were NO cuts.

And the time to raise tax revenue by ending subsidies and tax loopholes is now!

(But GOP don't want to.)
