I'm sure some serious golf outings ahead this weekend. This is disgusting.

It was a gloomy day for the economy, with traders yesterday battling against plummeting markets which threatened to spark a double-dip recession.
So perhaps it would have been more appropriate for President Barack Obama to have been at his desk, working hard and eating some humble pie - rather than celebrating his 50th with a giant slice of birthday cake.
As the Dow Jones suffered its biggest drop since the start of the banking crisis, Mr Obama is said to have been getting down with a host of celebrities in the Rose Garden, mingling with Tom Hanks, Jay-Z and Chris Rock and doing the Electric Slide with Michelle as Stevie Wonder gave an impromptu performance.
After the President came under fire for hosting a lavish fundraising dinner on Wednesday night, yesterday's additional birthday celebration was billed as low key. But despite attempts to keep details under wraps, some of the stars in attendance couldn't help but divulge what they had seen.
Immediately after the event, comedian Chris Rock posted a message online.
'Just left the Presidents birthday party at the White House. Herbie Hancock played, Stevie Wonder sang and yes they did the electric slide. A great night,' he wrote.

I'm sure if he didn't have a birthday party and fundraising, the economy would be expanding at a 5% rate.

What happened to "skin in the game" and us all "doing our part"? I guess that only applies to us peasants right?

Well, it does kinda remind me of Nero fiddling while Rome burned. But maybe that is just me.

Ya think?

Well, maybe I should have said Obama and Michelle remind me of Marie Antoinette with this b/day party: "Let them eat cake!"

So if he would have stopped the party, the market wouldn't have had the sell-off?

Yes, Obama has been fantastic for my personal holdings. He has killed the dollar, increased the price of commodaties, increased the price of farmland in the US and abroad, and has increased the price of gold.

Obama, the man of the people, has been great to "the rich" (like me), but has slaughtered the middle class. I guess Keynesian economics, coupled with insane trade and fiscal policy, is not everything that it was cracked up to be.

It is sad that the nation has suffered from the lack of guidance and understanding of basic economic principles under Obama. But what would we expect from a college professor/community organizer who had no experience in anything? Only a fool would expect positive results; however, it appears as though there were quite a few fools to put such a person at the helm of the US.

The solutions to our economic woes are fairly simple, however, it requires a man of courage who is not wed to the principles of socialism. Obama is an ideologue and will not change his policy, despite abject failure. A rational man would evaluate the failures and take a different course. However, Obama is just not any fool- he is a monumental fool. Roll over, Jimmy Carter, the title of worst president in US history is no longer your badge of honor.

Yes.

Wonder if Obama talked the rich folks at his party into a big ante-up for the Federal Treasury - and had them all write out checks to the IRS for "their fair share" since that list included folks who are all part of the "5% of highest wage earners" that Obama loves to say will save our nation's economy.

Since they all support him, I am sure they are voluntarily giving EXTRA to the IRS this year.
