Wow this is slumming. There is a reason they get no air time... they are lunatic fringe ignoring the changes in the world.
So lets say Al is wrong as are the other nations of the world. and we spend time money and energy in doing things healthy for our planet... are we worse off?
Conversely if we do nothing as these fringe twits want us to and it is true. we are hosed, plane and simple. We have one planet, we have no where else to escape to. If we ********** up we are done. Is that really a chance you want to take? NO rational mind would opt for this. err on the side of caution, it won't kill you.
I wonder what you will be saying a year from now when you see what has happened to your electric bill because of the regulations from EPA concerning the generation of electricity. I bet you may change sides. Do you know that since the EPA is being used by Obama and those warmers to stop the use of coal we may be paying through the nose for power? You didn't know that did you?
Obama couldn't get Congress to sneak through his cap and trade law so he is using Lisa Jackson and her EPA to do it anyway. Laws don't mean chit to the man if he wants it bad enough. Do you remember him saying that if he got cap and trade in the price of electricity would necessarily skyrocket. We will be finding out what he meant soon since so many generating plants have had to closed because of new regulations and new ones aren't being built because of EPA regulations. Hang in there though because we will all be in this mess together.
BTW did you know that China completes another coal fired generating plant each week. They can foul up the air but the good old US isn't allowed to do so. We do all still live on the same planet, don't we?
Blast. I feel like Homer Simpson (I wish I could link to that scene where he keeps 'thinking' to himself, and his wife and children keep saying "Dad, you're talking out loud!" Doh!
Loss of reputation for one thing. How many of them were shunned by their peers and/or passed over for jobs and/or promotions based on their belief in what they were told by Al Gore?
Oh, puleeze! That makes as much sense as moderate Republicans suing because someone labeled them a RINO.
The only question I have is having abandoned the birthers is Orly plying her trade amongst wronged scientist? If so, like her birther clients they will become abundantly aware of her absolute legal incompetence.
Sorry to throw cold water on this sue Al orgy fest, but.....
Starting in January of 2008 Coleman starts to claim that Al Gore is going to be sued publicly, at least that is the earliest date I have found.
The 30,000 "scientists" are people with at least a Bachelors of Science in some field, including computer science and other non-research science degrees. They signed a petition back in 1998 saying that they did not believe in Global Warming. Many of them are dead now. None have agreed to be party to a lawsuit.
After nearly two years no lawsuit has been filed. There are actually no grounds that a lawsuit could be based on against Al Gore on the issue of Global Warming. Over the last twelve years not one single peer reviewed scientific paper has been published that challenges Global Warming. There is no "scientific debate," and even if there was one a person cannot be sued for supporting a reasonably sound scientific hypothesis, even if it turned out to be wrong.
So the real "headline" here should be "One person who claims to have the support of 30,000 other people who signed a petition eleven years ago and have not given their consent to be used for these purposes wishes he could sue Al Gore but has no grounds to do so, and will not do so."
