Were running a little short on all fronts. Our military is in enough hot spots and were so far in debt.......In ahort order America ain't the worlds policeman let someone else take care of it for once .
No one's forgotten the photos of the 'copter pilots body being dragged throught the streets of Moghadishu by a bunch of thugs with machetes and AK's so the will won't be there for an incursion.
Now couple that with the U.N. being The single biggest cluster-frap of a dysfunctional organization with it's charter supposedly stipulating intervention against this very thing but being used instead for everything but, well, you get my drift.
Unless Travolta takes the seats out of his plane again, I don't see anything of any consquence happening to help them at all.
To help with the crisis over there? I mean, we did it for Libya to "protect our interests," Obama said. Aren't the lives of thousands of starving kids important?
Isn't it obvious what motivates the USA by now? There is no oil in Somalia.

1) We're broke and can't afford to be the worlds police man any more.
2) This is Africa's problem. Africans have to step up and be part of the solution.
3) Even neo-progs aren't dumb enough to get us into another war.
4) Some people are old enough to remember the early 90s when we sacrificed American lives there, with no change in the culture.
5) There is nothing and no one there worth the lives of more young American soldiers or marines.
Pick your favorite.

There's always time for wars where its useful by killing your foe and plundering their resources, but they have to have resources. Killing people for nothing is just atrocious.
That was Clinton who screwed that up, not our military.
Not really. Clinton didn't order troops into Somalia, G.H.W. Bush did.
And if an operation goes awry, how is it Clinton's fault?
