Geez-o-pizza. Now you want a share of their profits that they made outside the country? Because they are based here? What are they supposed to just make up jobs to do here so that you can be employed.
I guarantee that the next plan will be to move corporate off shore, too, and then we won't get any benefit of their existence.
Last time I heard, the whole world was supposedly nailed by this 'global economic crisis.'
And yes, I know that they are hiring outside the US. But as well as I have gotten to know the US worker, I'd hire outside, too. They're lazy and entitled.

Can you explain why people sit and save when there is an unstable aspect in their lives?

Golly gee, its like... complicated stuff!

They sit on their money because the market is volatile, they are unsure what to expect from the administration concerning "Tax dem dere Rich into Oblivion" and until they get a solid surety of a direction, they will not act. Though if the government starts taxing to hell and back while continuing their ridiculous spending, you won't have to worry about businesses "sitting" as they will be putting their money in other markets and moving out of this country like it was a roach infested apartment.

So do you have any problem with the higher level of uncertainty created by the Republican Party taking the biggest and up in until now the safest bond market in the world "hostage" by jeopardizing the full faith and credit of the United States?

we've got to start again, with the mom and pop businesses...those businesses created jobs as well...and this is one small part of it, but somewhere along the line, we've got to take less pay in order to have more jobs created...unions caused this....at one time, unions helped they're employees, however, unions got crazy and people were getting paid a huge amount of money, but were lazy and didn't care about they're jobs. I went to a hospital in Philly and had two knee replacements....the care was horrible, and what I'm about to tell you is the truth...I went to the University of PA, the doctors there are Paramount, however, the floor that I was on, the nurses yelled at me, b/c I called for a bed pan...honest...she said, you go to the bathroom to much..., so the night before I was supposed to leave, they left me on the bedpan, and it got full, and when they removed it, they spilled it all over me....and they left me like that. No one came the entire time I was there to help me wash, they simply put the thing on my eating tray and left it there...I had two kinds of pain iv's going in my back...so I was out of it pretty much...they would come in and lay my food there, and I didn't even know it was there...no one came to wake me up or wash my back, and honestly I don't even know if my bed got changed...however, when I arrived at the hospital for rehab, the nurses immediately washed me and cleaned me up, telling me this always happens when people come from Philly, b/c those nurses are union nurses and they're lazy. Not all of them, mind you, but the ones on my floor...I was so worried about infection, I can't tell you...it was the most horrible experience...and nothing will be done, the union protects them...they don't have to work....my girlfriend went down there b/c she heard the doctors were paramount, but she told me that from the time she entered the hospital, no one smiled, everyone was like, it's a real chore to have to help you. My experience was the same...the day of my surgery, I was scared to death, and yet, all those who told me to go here and there, I was nothing to them...It was a pain for them to come in and tell me to sit here for a while and someone would come and get me....the attitudes were horrible...they were angry lazy people. Yet, they were getting top wage pay checks....so, again, the government is really corrupt, however, it's not all they're fault...the government isn't in charge of workers...companies and unions are, and b/c people want union wages, is why companies have gone to other countries...and it won't change until there is nothing here any longer and we'll be so hungry we'll accept any job just to put food on the table...just like years ago...then they will start coming back. But it's going to take a long time for them to return.

Be patient, they don't know any better, they think your crazy...but in time, maybe, they will understand...you are correct, and it is the WTO who is really running this country, not our government, our government is merely an act...1st class, but in time, people will become enlightened and get it, I hope. Geeze Louise, most of them in government don't even have a clue as to how to do they're jobs or where to even begin to try and fix this...we're so far out of joint...

The irony here is you complain about market uncertainty and market volatility. Yet the the debt ceiling deal that John Boehner announced "I'm 98% happy with what I got" actually caused more economic uncertainty and market volatility since the financial crises in 2008 and resulted in a credit downgrade by Standard and Poors.

IMHO the international financiers are gambling with OUR economic future for their own rewards. We are just the suckers that are forced to play in their casino.
