point totals don't matter as much as % change. ronnie raygun leads the list on biggest one day % change loser ever.

The DOW lost about 5.5% today. That's not even top 20 worst days ever, let along 6th.

Under Obama, the DOW has increased about 31% in value (today included). Under 8 years of Bush, the DOW lost 22% of its value.

Nope. Just posted that to let the others know that a total points drop is misleading.....and that this is just another "blame Bush" thread. The 1987 drop was a technical failure that was corrected after it happened. A percentage drop is a better picture of economic health than is a total points drop.
