First we need to be saving enough money to be buying our own debt. With that who cares about our credit rating.
Second we need a large enough tax base to support our bloated government.
Third we need full employment.
How to get these things?
1. The American people already own the largest share of the debt.
2. Everyone cares since our credit worthiness is the beacon of global finance, hands down, bar none, even after the downgrade.
3. Our government is small, far too small to provide even the most basic services of a modern nation, except for the military. It isn't bloated. It's just been neglected since about 1969 when the robber barons began to disassemble society for profit.
4. Full employment will not come without massive government intervention in the form of a return to responsible tax rates for individuals and corporations, and massive government job programs. Otherwise, see "Snow Crash" and get ready for a toll booth at the end of your neighborhood.
The big banks own our politicans, so without them, there will be no employment, it will only get worse.
We need a new President, new treasury secretary, new head of Fed Reserve, Geithener is part of the problem, he was instrumental in getting us here.
If the President had guts, he would
1. Establish a fair tax code. Corporations would have to pay taxes to the USA,(right).
2. Tell China we aren't going to let them rip us off anymore with the unfair trade and
USA dollar trade pollicies.
3. Give tremendous tax breaks for manufacturers that build and produce in this country.
(we need to get to the basics and start "Making it in the USA" again).
We need to get the hell out of the middle east, finally, after 10 long years.
I left the Republican party when President Bush ordered us into Afghanistan.
THen Iraq, still can't figure out why we went into Iraq, and people voted him in the second
term. Go figure.
The country isn't a democracy anymore, it's a Corporation.
Nothing will change til the people march and riot in the streets, which
is totally possible, right around the corner, because we have to get rid
of the corrupt politicans and really take our country back.
(I'm afraid it's too late, but it was nice while it lasted).

What we need is a dedicated opposition party to the plutocracy. The only issue would be money. The Rich can keep the bulk of their money they just have to stop taking it out of the middle class and let the middle class grow again. Gime a job to do and I'll leave you alone. It is that symple.
“THen Iraq, still can't figure out why we went into Iraq, and people voted him in the second
