i didn't vote for ANY of that.

If you haven't notice that we now live in a GLOBAL ECONOMY, much of the economic growth in this country in the past two years has been heavily infludence by EXPORTS. Economic headwinds in other countries have a direct effect on the American economy.

Has nothing to do with your comment.

You put the blame on the Republicans. The fact is, there's a ton of other factors - some completely out of our control (thank you you for proving my point) involved in our credit downgrade, other than the Evil Tea Party and these Evil Republicans.

And the Democratic ideology of "spend, spend, spend" has absolutely contributed to the mess we're in now. S&P TOLD us the number we had to reach in deficit cuts to avoid a downgrade, months ago.

Yet again, the arrogance of the White House shines through, as they acted surprised when our credit rating was dropping, and expressed mock outrage at the Tea Party and Republicans.

Again, we KNEW what number we had to hit. The Democrats have only themselves to blame for it.

A vote against Romney is a vote against America.

Unless you're voting for say, Ron Paul.

Romney might be GOP, but he's still a knucklehead.

hate Obamacare? Then on principle alone, you'd be a hypocrite so support Romney, technically.

You're kidding. Someone running for political office doesn't want his possible opponent to do well or look good in the eyes of the voters?

that must be a first.

Thank you for bringing this earth-shaking news to our attention.

The Democrats do not have to do anything to destroy Rommny. The Republicans and the Tea Party will do it for us.

Dems more than likely wouldn't have the time since they are so busy destroying themselves or finger pointing.

“There’s a weirdness factor with Romney, and it remains to be seen how he wears with the public,” the adviser said, noting that the contrasts they’d drive between the president and the former Massachusetts governor would be “based on character to a great extent.”
hah. they are right, the guy has an intangible creepiness about him. it is similar, but not the same, as the creepiness surrounding Hillary Clinton and Michelle Bachmann.

he also has some cultural issues to overcome -- he's mormon, he's a huge dork, and he's a wall street stooge.

Romney is getting more publicity from this than he has since he started his campaign. Romney needs a little press like this. It makes him appear to be a force to be reckoned with.

The more the opposition talks about you, the more indicative it is that they are afraid of you. You don't see Dems planning attacks on Newt Gingrich or John Huntsman, for example. They'd love to see Obama gunning for them.

Romney doesn't look creepy. He looks yuppieish. Like John Kerry, he looks rich. You look at him (and Kerry) and think blazers, penny loafers, skiing and country club. Not that there's anything wrong with that except in bad economic times when you want to tell out of work people "I feel your pain" and be believable. He needs some defense lawyer to tell him how he should look so the voters relate to him better, much like a defendant in a jury trial.
