Close the loopholes and institute a fair tax system that does not allow sheltering of income in blind trusts or the like. While we're on the topic; remove that phony evaluation scheme that allows you to attach a completely inflated value to an item such as a "Elvis painting on velvet" donated to your church and get a tax exempt receipt for a "charitable donation of $500. for a $10.95 piece of junk. Work your way up from there. A tax deduction for your home mortgage is absolutely asinine, you want a home, pay the full freight! Is your car payment tax deductable?

Now is the time, while the reason for it has never been more imperative, to address your Tax rules across the board.

I'm with you, but many will oppose getting rid of those "loopholes and deductions" when it hits their pocketbook. I say get rid of all of them.

Some examples;

interest payment deductions
deductions for dependents
child care deductions
medical cost deductions
Theft deductions
Solar panel deductions
State income tax deductions

etc, etc, etc.

No, that would be the "Warren Buffett" part.

The man is no prophet of good will at all, nor a selfless sage.

It is time to come up with a creative and imaginative plan to end the slogans and theatrics----enough to all the nonsensical slogans and credo on both sides of the fence. You can look at all the polls you want to justify your viewpoint-----the stark reality is that the overwhelming amount of Americans are fed up with inaction and the jingoistic jargon. They want well considered compromise and are willing to feel some pain to put an end to this comedy.

A well considered plan is a balanced one that puts some bullets on both liberals and conservatives, and attacks the debt burden we face:
1. liberals have to face the fact that there will entitlement reform----not gutting,
but reform. Social security can be handled with some modifications-----it is not
a ponzi scheme. Medicare will be a tougher challenge----there is some much
abuse and fraud now---we have done this to ourselves----change must come.

2. conservatives will have to face reality that we cant fight five wars at a time
any longer---we must remain strong, but we must inevitably cut defense
spending. In conjunction, we must stop handing out foreign aid like they are
candy bars.

3. We need a balanced approach on revenues------tax reform for small businesses
and corporations that encourages growth----yet some expectation that giant
corparations cant dodge taxes by setting up phony shelters overseas and call
them tax payments.

4. Revenue streams----nobody is advocating new middle class and business tax
increases. Closing insane loopholes is not a tax increase---stop the semantics.

To the dems---no new middle class or small business tax increases--

To the conservs and teas----an argument is always made only about 50% of
Americans pay taxes and its unfair. Either come up with a simplified tax code,
a flat tax that may be progressive, or even anathmea-------ask the tax dodgers
who employ high powered tax attorneys to actually cut the irs a check once
in awhile----their address is listed.

The argument will be that the wealthy pay their fair share---and to a certain
extent there a lot of good and decent wealty people that discharge their tax
obligations fairly. Yet wake up call----there is a significant amount that dont
and find sending the irs a check poision.

We can stop the humiliating bickering that is now paralyzing the nation-----whatever idealogical voice you share, the harsh reality is the overwhelming majority of the American people are sick of it, and want it to end.

Either get to work and toss the grenades and bombs overboard on both sides of the fence---or the American people will toss you overboard at the ballot box.

What the hell is wrong with you, trying to come up with something logical? The insanely stupid are happy to bash each other not realizing that nothing is getting done. Well except that we are getting closer to One World Rule!

The other 30% are the illegals who are benefitting very nicely from Obama's policies.

Yes indeed with his new illegal amnesty for illegals.
He's no respecter of our Laws and now will be opposed to them for his own political survival.

Yeah......because I have faith in what 70% of americans think, feel, and know.....Why do people use these indicators as if americans are hardcore scholars and intellectuals? These people aren't Chomsky....they're texans and people from the mid-west lol.
