How on earth does it help Sesame Street to actually do this gay rights stunt?

They are a TV show and they want viewers. If parents boycott Sesame Street enmasse -- and they most certainly will -- then Sesame Street probably dies out within the next 10 years or so.

All pro-gay and anti-gay crap aside, how does this hypothetical gay marriage stunt actually help the show's bottom line?

That's not true.

Gay marriage is natural in nature. Humans are nature.

Okay, if they don't age then they are stuck at the age at which they aired.

They live on their own so they are at least 18, probably older.

Exactly, because, unlike straight people who complain about the "sanctity of marriage" that gays can't have, and then get divorced, Bert and Ernie have been living together for over 40 years.

Default Does Sesame Street promote dysfunctional values?

Apparently so. Sad that it takes a celebrity to point this out.

Mankind as we know it would not exist if we weren't meant to be attracted to the opposite sex.

Being gay is a fluke in human genetics ie: more of one hormone than another. For others its a mental illness or way of acting out from years of sexual abuse as a child. Prisoners often develop gay tendencies because its the closest thing to a woman they can ever get when you're serving life behind bars.

Gays & Lesbians represent a fraction of the population on Earth who are not gay.
