Obama Visits Corporation Where His Stimulus Created 'Green' Jobs at $2 Million Per Job | CNSnews.com

Quote:
President Barack Obama on Thursday toured a vehicle battery plant in Michigan, touting his administration’s focus on green technology and jobs, at a corporation where federal money authorized by the economic stimulus law that Obama signed at the beginning of his presidency had created "green" jobs at a cost of about $2 million in federal subsidies per job.

Johnson Controls has received a $300 million federal grant and expects to create 150 jobs at facilities in Michigan and Wisconsin, White House energy adviser Heather Zichal said.
I'm just curious if the person writing this bothered to do the math?

Or how about anyone in the White House?

Or do they think this is a good example of stimulus "results"?

Here we have another example of this administration trying to pick winners and losers in the private sector, trying to FORCE consumers towards what the administration thinks is appropriate.

Doesn't this fit in nicely with the increased CAFE standards obama unilaterally by fiat, implemented?

We saw how well that worked with the Volt, didn't we?

I truly believe the idiots in the WH think this is a SUCCESS. That is what is so damn scary with this bunch. Doesn't matter how much it costs, just as long as they are pushing industry and consumers in the direction they think is right.

Yeah. But each job probably requires more than 40 hours a week.

Several times this summer the local grid has gone down at my place of employment due to present-day demands on an aging system. If air conditioners are frying neighborhood transformers, how are people going to charge these enormous batteries from home?

It is so typical of the reactionary left to enact feel-good legislation without ever thinking through all the implications. They erect monuments to their own benevolence, then quickly move on to the next project while the masses are forced to work around their boondoggles.
