This is just another way that Obama is sealing his fate as a one term POTUS.

Angry Toss him off the committee for unethical behavior

Peddling influence should be a criminal offense for elected representatives.

Quote:
About two hours after House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi released Becerra’s name as one of her appointees, an invitation went out inviting Wall Street lobbyists to a $1,500 per-ticket event. The invitation highlighted Becerra’s membership on the exclusive committee.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the invitation to the August 31 event, was sent by Jim Hart of the Investment Company Institute. It touted Becerra, calling the congressman “not only vice chairman of the Democratic Caucus, but who also has just been named to the new deficit committee.”

The American voting public should be called the idiot class instead of the middle class. Being middle class used to mean something. It used to mean you stood up for what you believed in and you stood up against an utterly intrusive, tyrannical, and paternalistic government hell bent on destroying your liberties both personal and economic. I mean the American public, those who even vote and are informed as to what their government is even up to. has lost their way cough balls cough.........I mean the people that gave us Shay's Rebellion, the Green Mountain Boys, and the REAL Boston Tea party (not some flaccid group of old codgers whining about taxes while supporting corporate welfare for the rich) are probably turning over in their patriotic graves. How far America has fallen. Most of us are so fat we can't even get up off the couch let alone see past our mountain of lard to even find our balls if they are there.

What's so pathetic about the American populace is that on the one hand you've got idiot liberal democrats paying lip servce to big government who wants to tax them to death and regulate their lives into slavery both economically and personally. Then you've got the right wing conservative republicans doling out corporate welfare left and right to a plutocracy that controls the same idiots pandering to the poor and the liberals. I mean it's the greatest scheme or scam ever thrusted upon a population. The middle class works like dogs. Nothing but debt slaves keeping both the private leeching parasitic plutocracy awash in wealth and excess while they control and manipulate the people that are supposedly representing "us". All the while we cheerlead like blonde bimbos praising a system of free market capitalism, individual liberty, and the greatest most free prosperous country on earth.........LMAO! It doesn't exist! We think because we have our guns, our ability to protest our government out in the streets somehow we are "free". We aren't free.........we are 21st century serfs........no different than the peasants who worked like dogs for their king. Only we think we are different because we have our 2.5 kids, our mcmansions with granite countertops and the latest apple gadget to keep us all dumbed down and salivating consumers. We've traded REAL economic freedom for a monetary system and financial system that keeps us in perpetual debt. All the while blaming "government" for everything. Our government is THE corporation. It's the conduit by which the wealthy elite run the show, manipulating us all into debt servitude.

It's all one big scam that keeps the people at the top raking in the millions, brainwashing us into believing that if we just do what they tell us, follow the rules they put out there (ones in which they don't at all follow themselves mind you), and "OBEY" we will someday, someway, somehow make it into their little clique. Meanwhile instead of seeing them as the enemy they are.........we are fighting each other like hyenas at a kill, divided and conquered. Let this by gone bastion of freedom we still call the USA burn like a disease ridden, maggot infested piece of roadkill that it is. Our problems are systemic........they won't go away until something drastic or someone drastic rises up and chops the head off this evil beast. We will never change unless we tear it down and rebuild it. A revolution doesn't come about through writing letters to your congressman.........its comes about by staring tyranny in the eye, never flinching, unwavering, and undeterred in using all means necessary to save the Republic. Interpret that how you want but there was a reason why the patriots of yore were deemed "terrorists" by the British.

I'd rather have 12 idiots debate a plan than 538 idiots.

1. Economic freedom how?

2. Clearly our monetary system needs drastic revision, but who has that new plan in their hand?

3. When you're led around by a think tank to annihilate your countrymen, impeding cops and firemen from doing their job claiming it defense of the republic, you've made yourself a terrorist. The republic is not a think tank, nor is it an American. It has no allegiance to anything but it's self interest running contrary to the greater good and everything America stands for since inception.

4. Who you've determined is the tyrant in this scenario is little more than harassing a gas attendant over the price of gas. To achieve this degree of sophistication and global reach requires vast sums of money and strategic influence over global information systems.

5. Best you figure out that think tank before you commit yourself to doing their bidding any further than you have.

6. If you're serious about defending the republic, you'd put more effort into updating government checks and balances than lend one more tablespoon of support to a party that's done nothing but systematically attack and undermine checks and balances at the bidding of corporate monstrosities.

7. Do you acknowledge ethical wrongdoing with a political party being used as a platform pretense to inflict war games exercises upon American citizens on their own soil?

Should be but when it's your representative doing it, it's perfectly acceptable. Should be but when someone who isn't right starts a petition to reform campaign financing and keep that $$$$$$ out of their hands permanently, you're too fearful of losing your advantage over others to do the right thing.

So you're living out a whole other America just like the mythological 'black community'. In your America every moment legislature is in session, it's an opportunity to steal the rights of others away, and that's not America. It's dixiecrat. Whether it's corporate dixiecrat, black dixiecrat, or white dixiecrat, it's still dixiecrat BS. It has no place in governance of one nation.

Im not even going to waste my breath on this ignorant post. I will speak to both your points 1 and 2. First off REAL economic freedom existed before we had fiat banking and the Federal Reserve Act. Again if you don't understand what happened back in 1913 and if you don't understand Jefferson's statement "banks are more dangerous than standing armies" I can't engage in any meaningful dialogue with someone who is so uninformed and doesn't "get it". And who has a plan? WAKE UP and pay attention ANYONE that wants to abolish the federal reserve i.e. Ron Paul and bring our money supply back into the hands of the people i.e. you and me i.e. our government. This is exactly what our founding fathers envisioned.
